Meet Your DJ- DJ Dan

You have all been asking for it so finally I have bowed to public pressure and am going to introduce my DJs to the world wide web. This series will hopefully give you a chance to get to know some of the team and also put a name to some of the faces I mention in various blogs.

DJ Dan has been with Komodo Music since our first expansion. When I first met Dan in a coffee shop in Fremantle almost 3 years ago I remember how professional and eager to please he was. After a few shows with my company, it also because obvious he was a man with who not only had great DJ skills, but someone who always put the client first. "I believe in playing the right music for the crowd to create a friendly party atmosphere. Reading the crowds response and interacting with the crowd, both through MCing and DJing is an important part of a set, regardless of whether it is a wedding or a club"- DJ Dan It wasn't long before Dan became Komodo Music's 2IC, often going out for sales meetings and helping out at expos, with a great many clients wanting him as soon as they met him. When DJ Dan isn't under Komodo Music's whip, (cause I work him very hard lol) he also has residency at the Claremont Hotel, playing to capacity crowds every Thursday and Sunday nights. In the past he cut his teeth in the cut throat underground dance party scene in Perth. From this he moved onto playing at such major events such as; The Big Day Out, Delirious at Belvoir, Salty and Delicious and this last year's Good Vibrations festival.  'Putting on a show' is important to Dan rather than being 'just the guy playing songs'. As such he takes pride in adapting to whatever is wanted by the crowd, the client or the promoter. This among many other reasons is why Komodo Music is proud to have DJ Dan on the team :)
